Born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan, Marsha is a product of the Pontiac School system. She graduated with honors from Pontiac Central High School. She then attended Michigan State University, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering degree. Upon graduating, she was a part of a government sponsored program where she earned certification in Robotics Technology.

Marsha later found employment at General Motors, where she now works as a Journeyperson Electrician for 41 years. Not quite the path she anticipated, GM turned out to be a lucrative move for her. She took classes and received her Real Estate license, Event Planning certification, teaching certification, Travel Agent license, and Photoshop and Video Editing certification by utilizing GM’s tuition programs. She has license started two nonprofits: The All Pontiac High Schools Alumni Scholarship Alliance that gives scholarships to Pontiac residents accepted into higher learning programs, and The Inspirational Spectrum Heroes foundation that aide individuals and families who are living with Autism.

Marsha is currently the Secretary of the Pontiac Alumni Foundation and sits on the board of the Pontiac Arts Commission. She is the mother of two sons, seven grandchildren.

Marsha has written two books, one that is published, is a Girl Scout Leader, and a Community Activist. She will always be there to lend a hand wherever kids are involved or people in need.
